Our president talks about how he is going to help the people but his way of helping people is taking money away from other people, which really makes no sense. Think about it. If he is helping people by taking away from other people then the people he is taking money from are going to need money. This process could go on and on then more and more people are going to need money .So then you are going to make the taxes higher then everyone is going to need money. Because of this, some people who voted for Obama saying "voting for him a big mistake. He promised change but I did not expect this kind of change”. He is not making things better he is making things worse.
Another subject that really bugs me is abortion ...kids that I speak to say that it does not matter. It was not a baby. How is it not a baby? It was made like any other baby that is born so of course it is a baby. A big problem to me is that I have heard some friends that are Christian say that an abortion is not a bad thing; it isn’t murder. Do I have to spell it out for you? M-U-R-D-E-R. Don't get me wrong Obama is a good person but I do not like how he is leading the United States and I do not like his plans and ideas either.

The Party
I ask my parents if I could go to a birthday party for a friend of mine. This party was mainly a family gathering, and is a big event in Hispanic culture known as a QuinceaƱera. But I had to go through my dad first before even saying maybe I could go. I always think that he gives me a hard time and could make this process a lot easier.
A lot of friends my age fail to realize that we have responsible parents and they ask questions because they care. Sure they get a little carried away sometimes, I think. Still, I get it when I put myself in their position. I had to consider the fact that neither of my parents had ever met the girl’s parents yet and my dad had never heard me speak of her. Asking to go was like mission impossible.
Answering his outrageously difficult questions involve you digging in the pits of your stomach for an answer and looking at the wall like a lost and confused puppy, but I did it. I left that room knowing that he is just doing what God told him to do. And that is to keep us safe and lead us on the right path and I should be grateful.

Appearance
I am no shallow girl who is all caught up in looks. Without a doubt, I don't think that women should wear male clothing, but I also don't believe you should have to wear dresses all the time. To tell the truth, I try to avoid a skirt although I do think I should wear one sometimes. But running around all day in the hallways all day, they aren’t practical. And the way that they cut many skirts these days is degrading to young women.
However, this is beside the point. The reason I am talking about appearance is that when I am at school I see girls with shorts barely covering their "lower backsides "(behinds).I wonder, is modesty now illegal? I actually see "young men" (I use that term lightly) looking at these girls derrieres. I think to myself how they can never once consider this inappropriate. I always wonder where these young women’s mothers are, but then I realize that the "thing" is to withdraw from your parents when you’re my age.
Furthermore, I believe that anything that makes your legs look suffocated or makes your paler skin show, you need to put it away. I honestly believe this style of clothing was put in place just to appeal to a man's eyes. And trust me, it is working. Now it seems girls wake up, put a strip of cloth on the bottom portion of themselves, a thin piece of cloth on the upper portion of their bodies, and they believe they are dressed. How can you think you are dressed when you wear the same amount of fabrics as a typical bathing suit? Honestly, how can you?

Making the Most of My Education
My mother is constantly supplementing our education. The other day we had in depth conversation about how there are some kids like me who actually make the most of the public education we receive and build on it. It made me wonder why all kids don’t take advantage of this right that many other people in the world so long for. I do understand that homeschooling is better and from what I have found about it, that is true. But public education is not as bad as many people make it out to be so long the child takes advantage of the education. It also helps when their parents are engaged.
I do learn a lot and I do well. I am in the highest classes possible for my grade level and getting all A’s and B’s in them. I will admit that sometimes there does not seem to be any challenge there, but eventually it does get to be more challenging. My point is that getting a good education despite the governments’ standards is achievable. It does take a lot of work to stay above the rest. I have 3 years and 7 months of high school left. In the end I want to say I worked hard, remained above the rest and it all paid off.

Economic Downfalls
What is going on? Am I the only person who realizes that you can't spend more money than you make, because the point has not been grasped across America or on Wall Street either. I mean, whose bright idea was this: run an entire economic system solely on debt! Of course nothing could go wrong -NOT! Since our government help put this faulty system in place, we the future of America, have to make up for all the mistakes that this generation before us has made. And since people have decided that kids are a hassle and a dent in their lifestyles, we won’t have enough people to work and pay for what’s been done today. Our grandchildren are going to have to pay. What can we do? It sometimes seems like the world is falling apart, what with states legalizing homosexual relationships and many more sinful things becoming more acceptable every day. My mother has told me that all I can do is pray and stay close to God because the way things are playing out it seems the end may be closer then we might have thought. It hit me that it does seem crazy and that there are more wicked people. My dad says that there is not more evil; there is only more openness. With that I leave it to you to think. All I can say is saddle up. Our generation may be in for one bumpy ride.
I am posting a link to the National Debt Clock. I'm also adding a Schoolhouse Rock Video about the debt. As a kid I was able to understand this concept. Maybe set to music Congress will get a clue. Enjoy!

Public School Ups and Downs
Going to public school has many ups and downs but can teach you a few things also. Besides language, science, history, and math, it teaches you life skills. When I started public school I thought it would be the most amazing thing to meet new people. Don’t get me wrong. I did meet new people but it was not what I expected. As I got older and I went up a few grades everything was different. The kids were different, the words they used were “profound”, and their respect for themselves, or lack of, was different too.
In school, you do get the privilege to meet some wonderful people .You can even meet people who share the same beliefs as you do. However, in public school you do not just meet wonderful students, you meet amazing teachers too. One thing I learned from my teachers was that they don’t only teach you subjects; they are here to teach you life skills if you need them.
When I got to middle school it was a definite shock. Everyone had changed. Kids began to curse, they are rude, and they don’t act like they used to. At first it was a little strange but then I got used to it, which is sad, I know. Another thing that bothers me is when kids start "dating" at such a young age. Public school definitely does have its ups and downs. We hope and pray that GOD will help the children that have changed so much since elementary school.
