Making the Most of My Education

My mother is constantly supplementing our education. The other day we had in depth conversation about how there are some kids like me who actually make the most of the public education we receive and build on it. It made me wonder why all kids don’t take advantage of this right that many other people in the world so long for. I do understand that homeschooling is better and from what I have found about it, that is true. But public education is not as bad as many people make it out to be so long the child takes advantage of the education. It also helps when their parents are engaged.

I do learn a lot and I do well. I am in the highest classes possible for my grade level and getting all A’s and B’s in them. I will admit that sometimes there does not seem to be any challenge there, but eventually it does get to be more challenging. My point is that getting a good education despite the governments’ standards is achievable. It does take a lot of work to stay above the rest. I have 3 years and 7 months of high school left. In the end I want to say I worked hard, remained above the rest and it all paid off.
