I am no shallow girl who is all caught up in looks. Without a doubt, I don't think that women should wear male clothing, but I also don't believe you should have to wear dresses all the time. To tell the truth, I try to avoid a skirt although I do think I should wear one sometimes. But running around all day in the hallways all day, they aren’t practical. And the way that they cut many skirts these days is degrading to young women.
However, this is beside the point. The reason I am talking about appearance is that when I am at school I see girls with shorts barely covering their "lower backsides "(behinds).I wonder, is modesty now illegal? I actually see "young men" (I use that term lightly) looking at these girls derrieres. I think to myself how they can never once consider this inappropriate. I always wonder where these young women’s mothers are, but then I realize that the "thing" is to withdraw from your parents when you’re my age.
Furthermore, I believe that anything that makes your legs look suffocated or makes your paler skin show, you need to put it away. I honestly believe this style of clothing was put in place just to appeal to a man's eyes. And trust me, it is working. Now it seems girls wake up, put a strip of cloth on the bottom portion of themselves, a thin piece of cloth on the upper portion of their bodies, and they believe they are dressed. How can you think you are dressed when you wear the same amount of fabrics as a typical bathing suit? Honestly, how can you?
